Wicked Awesome!

Former Boston Red Sox SS Nomar Garciaparra called it a career after 14 years in the majors. The first 9 seasons were with the Red Sox. He signed a 1 day contract so he could retire in a Boston uniform. There was a time when there was a great short stop debate between Nomar, Jeter and A-Rod. They all had great attributes and were all interchangeable (Unless you lived in NY where it was jeter 24/7). As a Sox fan, I thought for sure he would never leave Boston and be a all time great. In 2004, He was traded to the Chicago Cubs in a "what the hell were they thinking" move. Yeah, the Red Sox won the title that year. I guess they knew more then we did. After Boston, he had many injuries which caused him to miss many games in the latter part of his career. In a nutshell, he was rookie of the year in 1997, batting title champ in 1999 and 2000, 6 time all star, career batting average w/ red sox of .323, 178 home runs and 690 rbi's. Question I have is do you feel he could be a hall of fame SS? Let me hear it.

Much Luck,

Joe
