Pittsburg Steelers QB Ben Rothlisberger is not only good at game winning drives, but apparently getting into trouble with the ladies. In the early hours of March 5th, a 20 year old woman told police in Milledgeville, GA. that she had been sexually assaulted by Rothlisberger. Ben, who had been bar hopping with friends, reportedly spoke with Milledgeville police the night of the alleged incident. Also, a source says to KDKA that Rothlisberger had contact with the woman that was not consummated and afterward she slipped and fell, injuring her head. Big Ben also had 2 friends that are off - duty law enforcement officers with him at the club that night and reportedly saw nothing inappropriate. The investigation is still on goiong at this time and police do plan to interview Rothlisberger again and possibly get a DNA sample. To cap it all off, Ben has hired former Ray Lewis attorney Ed Garland to represent him. Wow, so much to digest, but allow me to put it in it's proper perspective. Ben, you IDIOT! Why on earth do you get yourself into a situation like this when you still have a pending civil suit from a woman who claims that you raped her in 2008 at a hotel-casino is Lake Tahoe. You may be a great quarterback in the NFL, but that doesn't mean you can be a total tool when the pads are off. I have to say that the motorcylce accident + 2 sexual assault cases should equal some kind of repremand from the NFL in my mind. You need to set a example that behavior like this will NOT be tolerated no matter who you are. If you do nothing, your basically saying act a fool in the offseason but when the season starts do what you do best. I know a lot of people like Ben and are backing him up as you should. All I'm saying is not to paint him as a Saint when you don't even know the guy. If he's truely innocent, let the legal system play out then come talk to me. I'm making my judgement based on the 3 incidents. If he turns out to be innocent in both cases, i'll be the first to issue a apology and just say that he can't drive a motorcycle worth nothing. How do you feel about "off the field" issues? We like to slaughter "pac man" jones for "making it rain" in the strip clubs and all and say he has "off the field" issues. Do you think Ben has "off the field" issues and should be labeled as such? I think Ben just needs to stop trying to get it on with 20 year olds and grow up. College is over and it's time to become a pro and start acting like one. How do you see it?
Much Luck,
Joe
