Tiger's Back on the Prowl.......For Golf

Yesterday, Tiger "Sir Cheats a lot" Woods announced that he will be making his triumphant return to the game that he revolutionized and gave a 5 month vacation to at the Masters next month. In a statement, Woods says "The Masters is where I won my first major and I view this tournament with great respect. After a long and necessary time away from the game, I feel like i'm ready to start my season at Augusta." Did you hear that? That sound you just heard was the entire PGA throwing a exceptionally large celebration because Tiger is coming back to golf. I say it's good to have him back. In his mind, Tiger probably needs golf as much as golf needs Tiger so to me it's a win/win. As far as him coming back at the Masters, I can't say i'm too surprised. It's a big time major and, most importantly, it's a controlled enviorment. Tiger can play the game he loves with minimal distraction if any. The media is controlled and can't foolishly ask him "are there any more?", "how did you feel when you cheated on your wife?", etc. I, personally, would to have liked him to play a tournament before the Masters to get back into the swing, pardon the pun, of things. I do understand why he is coming back to the Masters though. Question is how do you think he'll do? 5 months is a long time for someone to be away from golf to just step in and play. Will he make the cut? Will he win? He has won the Masters 4 times and is very familiar with the course which benefits him greatly. Do I think he'll make the cut? Yes. Do I think he can win? Yes. Do I think he will win? The possibility is there, however I would be shocked if he did. I think the layoff will catch up with him and will struggle. Keep in mind that Tiger "struggling" is most PGA players actually winning. How do you think he'll do? I wonder if Elin will make a appearence? Best of luck Tiger because I promise that not every tournament will be "controlled" as you want.
Much Luck,
Joe
