The Return of Ms. Jones to ...............Basketball?

Do you know how they say that "any publicity is good publicity"? Well, your welcome WNBA! This morning the Tulsa Shock will anounce the signing of Marion Jones. Let it sink, yes that Marion Jones. The former track icon and 'roid user had 5 medals stripped from her after admitting to using P.E.D's before the 2000 Summer Olympics. Believe it or not, Jones has played basketball before. She helped North Carolina win the national title as a freshman back in 1994, however she hasn't played since 1997 when her true calling was to run track. I say once your ride a bike, you never forget so I think she has the possibility to do decent, however I don't see her ruling the WNBA. If she starts out running people up and down the floor, don't judge. The girl used to run track ya know. How do you peeps think she'll do?
Much Luck,
Joe

  1. Very few, if any, ex-Olympic track stars have attempted to play in a major sports league. I hope she has a successful career in the WNBA. If Jones is able to help the Shock win a championship, I still don’t think it will ease the pain she suffered when she was stripped of the five medals she won at the 2000 Summer Olympic Games in Sydney.

  2. I agree. I don't think anything will ease the pain of losing those medals, however she did bring that onto herself. I don't believe she truely needed the "edge" because she was already a great athlete. That is a question that will never be answered. I do hope she does well. The Shock gets a title, I get more to writer about and the WNBA gets more publicity. Thanks for the comment.
